We worked closely with our clients to create this beautiful home theater cabinet. The center piece of the family room, this piece brings warmth and specific function together in a traditional style. The cabinet features grand arched top display areas complete with lighting, dentil molding crown, beaded faceframes and solid alder doors with fabric and metal grills. The cabinet houses a full surround sound system including the sub-woofer. The equipment is actively ventilated with an ATM system. This free-standing home theater hutch is fabricated using alder solids and veneers. We only had 60" of width to work with, so the design was a bit of a challenge due to our client's desire to cover their plasma with bi-fold pocket doors and keep the cabinet from encroaching into the room. The cabinet houses the components behind two of the doors in ATM cooled compartments. We installed 3 media pull-outs behind the third door. There is additional media storage in the small drawers on either side of the center channel speaker. The cabinet is finished with a custom antique glaze. (Click here to see detailing)

The center portion which houses the components steps out to allow enough depth for the components. The eight drawers on either side store the client's media collection. The 42" Sony Plasma floats in the center of the cabinet and is hung on an articulating arm that allows access to the cable and venting chase that is located behind the TV.
